I spent my 7 hours of sleep last night in a frustrating dream about the wedding. Everything, everything went wrong. Here are a few highlights:
-My dress was delivered not as a beautiful, long, white gown, but as a short, pink and brown bridesmaid's dress.
-The DJ turned out not to be a DJ, but a singer in a band. He and his backup singers were dressed like the munchkins from The Wizard of Oz and sang 80's music all night (my least favorite genre).
-My brother hired a stripper to perform at the reception.
-The reception was held in a smoky bowling alley.
-Everyone drank from football-shaped mugs.
-I lost my shoes.
-It rained.
-Eric was nowhere to be found.
-Kanye West and Calvin Klein attended, and I was angry because they diverted attention away from me.

In transition
I'm feeling hostile today because they are interviewing candidates for the position that supervises me. My previous supervisor was let go for a number of reasons and since Late November, I've been handling all of the aspects of her job that she left hanging. Because of this, and because of my two years of experience in this job, I applied for the position, only to be eliminated after the first round of interviews. I was told the reason is because I have TWO years of experience, and Human Resources is requiring that all candidates have THREE. One year. And now I feel even worse because I don't get a say in who my boss will be because I applied for the position.
I want my friend Sean, who works in our department, and who has also applied for the job, to get the position because he deserves it, because he and I work really well together, and because if he leaves he gets the job, he'll vacate his old position, which I am qualified to fill. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I stole this idea from my friend
You Have a Sanguine Temperament |
You enjoy all of the great things life has to offer - food, friends, and fun.A great talker, you can keep the conversation going for hours. You are optimistic and sure of your success. If you fail, you don't worry about it too much. At your worst, you are vain. You are obsessed with your own attractiveness.A horrible flirt, you tend to jump into love affairs and relationship drama easily. You're very jealous - which just magnifies the craziness around you. |
What temperment are you?
