Oh my god. If anyone ever read this thing they'd think I was crazy! Which I am. Well, I had the surgery and it went GREAT. Way better than I expected, actually. My stomach finally looks like I want it to, which is to say, it looks flatter and less-scarred.
And living at home with my parents wasn't bad either. I was only home for 3 weeks because I recovered so much more quickly than anyone expected. Maybe I'm superhuman!

Some fun websites
I just wanted to share a couple of my favorite guilty-pleasure websites with everyone! I'm sure many of you already know about them.

Let me think what else I've been up to...I'm also in the midst of wedding planning stuff. Not my wedding. My cousin and my friend are both getting married this coming July. I'm a bridesmaid in my cousin's and am playing the viola in it too.

Longest Week Ever
I know everyone says this, but I really am so tired! Even though I like my jobs and enjoy the people I'm with, it's still draining.
I also feel badly for out kitty who's at home by himself all day and night. I try to pay him lots of attention when I'm there but he's so sad. And that makes me sad. I think we need to get him a friend.
Gotta go fix a problem with the fax machine...again.

New Job
It's like the snow never stops! And to think, we've still got 3 more months of this...wow.
Anyway, I started a new job last night. I'm now working two in order to pay the bills. Luckily for me, my main job here in Alumni Relations had great benefits like health insurance and a free graduate degree, but now that I'm working an extra 3 nights a week, I won't have to be as freaked about my money situation.
I'm hostessing/waitressing at a restaurant called Angelina Centini's, right down the hill from the College. The people seem nice enough there and it's a low-stress environment, which is always a plus. I did find out that the building is haunted though, which I love! Angelina Centini created the restaurant in the 30's and then died in 1955. She was only about 60. They say her ghost lives in the restaurant and certain employees refuse to go into certain areas of the restaurant, like the downstairs bathrooms (they're for customers and located in the basement). Angelina's great-granddaughter, Angela, now owns the place. It's cool because there are all these old photos on the walls of the Centinis, spanning many generations.

Monday
What a good weekend I had! Mostly it consisted of cleaning the house (we finally took down the Christmas tree) and grocery shopping. I find comfort in these routine things. They make me feel like I have some control over my life!
I finished reading a great book, Lucky by Alice Sebold. For those of you who may not be familiar with Alice, she is the author of The Lovely Bones. Lucky is her memoir and is about her rape and subsequent trial while she was a sudent at Syracuse Univerity in the early 80s. I really liked the book, although I found it difficult to read at times.

Snooowwwwww
Oh it's starting! But at least it's really late this year. Bahamas was great - I'm nice and tan and now we look forward to Christmas. Co-workers are acting funny and spilling things on each other. Gonna be a long day.

Anticipation
Hi Blogging friends! Oh who am I kidding? I don't have any of those. Anyway, the thing I'm anticipating is a trip to the Bahamas that starts Friday!! I plan on doing lots of lying in the sun, swimming and enjoying tropical drinks. We're staying at the Atlantis Resort and they have alllll kinds of cool things there like water slides, huge tanks full of marine life, white sand beaches and beautiful rooms! It won't be long now.

I'm out of ideas!
I realize that I don't actually have anything interesting to say on my blog. So today I'm going to list my agenda: Work, meeting, phone calls, emails, broadcast emails, event postings, more meetings, tanning, pay bills, mail letters, more email, more phone calls, go home, work out, eat dinner, clean apartment, watch TV, go to sleep. Done.

The First Snowfall
It snowed today! I'm not happy about that although it sounds like I am! This is pretty early but I remember one year when I was in school it snowed on October 13th. Oh well, now the sun is coming out and it looks to be a beautiful day in Ithaca :)

Bye, Tiger
Oh it shouldn't be so sad but it is! My childhood pet, Tiger the cat had to be put to sleep. He was extremely old and senile and it was the right thing to do but I'll still miss him.
Today some of us from work are going to see The Grudge. I'm scared, but I love to be scared! Except when I'm alone and it's dark. Then I don't like it so much.

End of a Curse
Wow, I'm so glad the World Series is over! It's not that I don't enjoy baseball, it's just that I've been glued to TV until midnight most nights and it has really taken its toll! Congrats to all you Boston fans. I'm a Mets fan myself so I understand what it feels like to be the underdog :)

Friday!
Yay! I think it's impossible to be in a bad mood on a Friday. This weekend I'm going to my parent's house to celebrate my mom's birthday. The three of us always have a good time together so I'm looking forward to it.

Tired
Once again I stayed up way too late. I'd like to say I was watching the game but I'd be lying. I went out with some friends downtown and while everyone else was glued to the TV, we chatted away like typical girls. It's only 8:52am but I've already had two cups of coffee...
