Inspired by my friend with all the good blogging ideas, I'm going to write a weekend update as well.
First, the good stuff:
-The musical Eric directed, "The Wizard of Oz, went really well Friday night, despite being 3 hours long! I was so proud of him, and now that all the rehearsals and performances are over, I get to have my fiance back!
-I got a lot of sleep Friday night. Always good :)
-Saturday my parents came and accompanied me and Eric on a trip to the Fontainebleau (where we're getting married), and we met with the innkeepers to go over all of the timing and details of the big day. It was so exciting!
-Saturday night Eric and I went to the Ithacappella reunion, which was weird, but fun nonetheless.
-Sunday I slept in and then spent the day relaxing on my couch, doing a little cooking, cleaning and laundry, and reading a book. And going for a nice walk.
Now, the not-so-good stuff:
-I spent most of the weekend completely gorked out because I had a bad flare (read: incredible abdominal pain that just won't go away, a result of Crohn's Disease). It took forever for the doctor on call and the Wegman's pharmacy to communicate with one another to the point where I could finally just get the vicodin and go home. Yuck. At least having the drug brought back my appetite, and I was able to eat, something I hadn't been doing nearly enough of all week. I just need to make sure that I can maintain my weight and not lose any more before the wedding, or else my dress, which is strapless, is sure to slide right off during one of the dances!
All in all, a good weekend, and certainly a beautiful one weather-wise.

Stupid, stupid, wasteful war
I'm sitting here stunned because the bad news I received yesterday about an old high school friend's Apache helicopter being shot down in Iraq, has gotten worse. Not only was he confirmed dead, but he appears in a video where his bloody, burning body is being dragged across a field by Iraqi insurgents. He was 25.
Tim's mother and father have lost their son. His sister has lost her brother. And his young wife Katherine is now a widow, left to care for their 10-month-old baby who will never know her father.
